OpenCities Map Help

Running the Batch Process

In a text editor, create a command file of the key-ins to be run. For example:

GEOCOORDINATE ASSIGN MATCHUNITS AL83-WF
VIEW OFF ALL
ON=ALL
SELVIEW 1
VIEW ON 1
FIT VIEW EXTENDED 1
FILEDESIGN

This series of commands will assign the defined geographic coordinate system and change the DGN units to match the geographic coordinate system units. It will turn all views off, turn all levels on in View 1, then turn on View 1. It will also fit View 1 and save the settings.

Tip: Since this process will be visiting all selected files, it might be useful to run other commands such as level naming to adopt the level naming format vs. level numbers. The standard adopted by OpenCities Map is to match the level name to the feature name. Refer to the MicroStation help for Modifying Level Attributes to rename a level.

See the MicroStation help for information on how to set up and run the Batch Process Utility.
